Woman in Stems is run by Xira Doctor, a multi-talented queer Filipino woman, who combines her knowledge of science and technology with a passion for flowers into a unique floristry business. Born and raised in Los Angeles, the local flora, fauna, and landscapes are constant inspirations to each WIS design.

Using seasonal blooms, she creates bespoke bouquets and vase arrangements suited to each customer. Xira’s goal is to have the flower arrangements she crafts be as eclectic and vibrant as the city and communities she represents.
